It would be prudent, although we know a lot as stroke survivors, to check with your Doctor before taking any action.

I am watching your posts with great interest and appreciate all you have shared. Unfortunately, I had a bleeding stroke and because I also have diabetes and kidney disease the hosp. gave me NOTHING to stop the bleed, so I lost it all. To make matters worse the RN on duty stuck the feeding tube into my lung instead of my stomach, so I got pneumonia, etc. every hospital infection you can think of and ended up being sent to nursing homes, by the time I got home I was so weak that they wanted…

I am an old geezer who suffered a bleeding stroke two and one half years ago, after too many hospital infections and wasting away at nursing homes, I finally got home, where finally, I started getting enough activity to start getting strength.

It's a scary feeling being a 51 year old woman, but feeling like a 6 year old wandering around without adult supervision!
