I was just told this past week I have a condition known as Apraxia as I was going to try the Bioness hand thing to regain the fine motor function of my left hand? I am trying to sort it out now?

My brain aneyrysm was 4 1/2 years ago. During the first 2 years went to physical therapy until insurance stopped paying. Last May I purchased a Sabeo Flex and went to therapy to learn how to use it. No luck with it. Cannot put on and off with only one hand. Painful to get on and off. Went to my Neurologist
last month. When he asked about the Sabeo Flex, I told him. He said due to the severity of my stroke it would not have made a difference anyway. He said my fingers are atrophyed (sp) and strecthing too much can actually snap, break muscles and tendons in my fingers.Have also tried Botox injections in my arm and wrist. Did not help me much, and are quite expensive.

I now have tinnitus and a bad attitude, oh well life goes on, when I met with the new neurosurgeon I asked him if I had anything I was not supposed to try to do and he told me not to start smoking again?

It was one year, April 27, since my stoke, affecting the left side of my body. The aneurysm, I have is inoperable, due to where it is located. So my Dr. requested I get a arterialgram, once a year so he can see if there has been any change in size etc.

What has happened? Sadly not much and this is what ticks me off as IKNOW I am not supposed to be alive? You would think the mighty Dr.'s just might be interested on how I somehow beat the odds awoke from a 6 week coma and function as well as I do? I guess they are ashamed of the fact I didnt die I will be meeting with a new neurosurgeon the 29th he better be all ears as Im so sick in tired of not knowing anything? I still have a VP shunt in my head and have NEVER been given any sort of aftercare plan? I also underwent a Gamma knife procedure in Feb 2002 and to date nobody has ever called back about that adventure? They jolted my melon with God only knows how much radiation and sent me home? To date not a peep?
