Do any of you actually know what caused you to have a stroke? They never did determine what caused mine.

I didnt get migraines before the stroke, but I get them often now. I had a clot rupture and bleed out onto a one square inch of my brain. my head often hurts in that area now, sometimes severely.

10 years ago, my doctor (neuro) said my stroke was caused by a disease of the small blood vessel system in my brain. 18 months later, I thought I was having another one. After another 4 days in the hospital, 2 more MRI's, 2 more MRA's, the good news was that I didn't have another. The bad news? Since my 1st stroke, I had already had another. They figured it was soon after my 1st CAT- scan. I can't let the fear of having another prevent me from living the life I have always imagined. Take care of yourself. Keep lookin' up! MLP

Both of my strokes were within a week of each other on both sides of the brain. Complete left side paralysis due to blown motor. Transmission that shoves the motor into gear also severly damaged. MD's would't give me a prognosis. Am almost back to 95%. Wrote 2 books on stroke (rehab). Every day, it gets better and easier. Keep smilin'. Keep lookin' up. God bless.

- Hi Yall, Im Jeanette, I had a massive stroke 12 years ago at age 27. Im still partially paralyzed from it. I try to live as full of a life as possible , but the struggles get overwhelming at times and most the folks in my life cannot relate at all. So I wanted to join this group to meet others who may deal with the same type things. Looking forward to "meeting yall".
