Laurie,
My wife had a stroke 16 months ago at 48. We have 2 young children now ages 9 and 11. She initially lost her right side, speech, reading and writing ability, and some vision. We fought like hell and she got most of her right side back. We are still working on the speech etc. She has expressive aphasia and apraxia. It is a long and frustrating road. Contact me if you want to talk.
